Really good food...

I loved the chicken and grits meal. You receive so much food for the price and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. The tap water in that area taste "rusty" which made the tea and fountain drinks taste horrible, but the nice counter lady allowed me to have as much bottled water as I need (2). Highly suggest trying this place out if you're in Jackson.

Great home cooked southern fare with attention to detail.. Fried chicken,onion rings,chick fried chick...great salads too..Family owned and run...yum!

The chicken cutlets are the best in Jackson and they're sides are divine. Their cheese grits are way better than Primos. They have the best red beans and rice. They're tea is very good and the chicken tenders are top shelf.

Tiffany is the greatest manager ever! She accommodated me, and my family. We had a difficult order, and she made it all happen, while helping other customers, with ease! Nashville hot chicken is the best!!

Went here for lunch and as usual it was a fantastic experience. The wait time was as you would expect for lunch hour in Jackson (although I have seen a much longer line) and I placed my order within five minutes of arriving. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken strips with french fries and mac & cheese. My food was delivered within ten minutes and the quality of the food was fantastic. Would highly recommend this place for lunch. Five stars.

What they say is true. The burgers here are delicious! I got the nacho burger and my wife got the fried chicken sandwich. Halfway through, we switched (cuz we're adorable). The burger was better, but the chicken sandwich was rather tasty as well. Come check this place out. It's worth it.

The staff are friendly and courteous. Orders are taken at a steady pace especially during peak hours. The food is fresh and my order was correct. Even with the high lunch traffic the restaurant is clean including the floors. The only problem is lack of adequate parking at the location on state street. Even with the parking deck in back it is like circling at an airport waiting to find a spot to park. But if you work in the area and are up for a nice walk to get lunch it's great.

It's not easy to leave a place like this..and not be absolutely stuffed. 8oz perfectly cooked patty. Huge helping of home cooked fries, and cold crisp cole slaw. I'm in heaven. Make this a bucket list stop. Probably the best burger in Jackson..period.

The fried chicken was spot on. I had the fried chicken club and my wife the hot hot fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. The only reason I don’t give this place the 5 stars is the curly fries. I love curly fries but these were a bit greasy and lacked some flavor.

We didn't love it. It was ok. The breading came completely off my husband's chicken fried steak. The turnip greens was fantastic. The banana pudding had a funny texture to it and I didn't eat but s couple of bites of it.

Food was hot. Service was fast but front of house staff was a little rough around the edges and boisterous. Creole Chop steak was a great lunch choice. Red beans and rice was ok. Generous portions.

Double Mushroom Swiss burger on my first trip. Gravy fries were a must. These guys were awesome and the service was great!

Really enjoyed my meal tonight. This place has really pulled it out of the horrible slump in was in when it comes to the food quality of evening time dining. Definitely, worth a visit! Even when the kitchen has an off night the staff is awesome!

I got the chicken snack plate which came with two HUGE pieces of chicken, a roll, and curly fries. This was great! My husband got the country fried steak (again...but he LOVES it there) with delicious mashed potatoes and cheesy grits. The grits we're kind of "meh" but the rest was delicious and well worth the price.

The food was delicious . My husband and myself both ordered hamburger steak with 2 sides. It's the best hamburger steak I have eaten in years. The atmosphere was great. They had my kind of music playing. The late 70's and 80's Rock and roll music. It was so relaxing to sit down and have a great meal. I will be going back to eat here again. We were at the University hospital and when I finished up with everything I turned my maps on and asked where a nice close restaurant was to eat at. And it pulled up Roosters.

Food is great, people are friendly, restaurant is nice and clean, can't go wrong at roosters so many food choices and all are delicious

Chicken Sandwich was good. Fries are terrible.

I liked their chicken sandwich more than their burgers. Big place in the heart of Fondren. Kinda hard to find parking sometimes. Food came out fresh and hot, I like their jalapeno buns. I'd come here then head over to La brioche for some coffee and pastries.

The place is in a corner of an inside mall/building. The burgers and fries are great, and the onion rings are some of the best I have eaten (not greasy). We were in a hurry, and although not fast food, it was quicker than most. The chicken is great too. Stopped for lunch- it was sunny, clean, fast, friendly.... and the best chicken sandwich and grilled chicken on salads in a long time. Mac and cheese was decent (not to die for- but a good solid side). Would definitely eat here again. It got busy at noon- we were just a few min ahead of the crowd.

Really enjoyed this place. Food is great and friendly knowledgeable staff. Love the vibe as well! Will be back👍👍

Rooster's is a Jackson institution by now. My only complaint with it is that it is no longer a mile from my house but its location in a historical building in Fondren gives it a cool vibe.Rooster's is one of the holdouts who will cook a burger to order and no fast food burger can measure up to the juicy and delectable flavor of a medium cooked burger. They make their buns too which are delicious although they are a bit soft which can make eating the burger a bit messy.During our most recent visit the onion rings were perfection and the fries were good but a little over salted.

My sister and I ate at Roosters the other day, it is one of the few public places we have been to eat lately, it did not disappoint! The Mushroom and Swiss burger on the Jalapeno and Chedder bun is the bomb! The butter frys were amazing. The service was great. We will be back again soon!

Super yummy!! The food here is always incredible. We had two dishes: hot hot chicken sandwich with gravy fries and the fried chicken club with coleslaw and fries. The hot hot sandwich was my personal favorite and I wouldn't consider it burn your mouth hot, but it does have enough heat to let you know it's there. For dessert we had the banana pudding which is homemade and more custard like than the box stuff. Overall I highly recommend them when you are wanting DELICIOUS chicken from a local restuarant.

Great food! Regentrified building reminds me of an old college cafeteria. Food was excellent! Did Insay that already?? The staff was attentive and brought our food in a reasonable amount of time. The only drawback is the lack of seating. Great experience, though!

The prices are outrageous and the wait is super long. They cater to the local hospital so trying to dine in takes forever. We ended up leaving😢
